Why I Am Seeking the Presidency
I am seeking the presidency to break from Kenya’s business-as-usual career politics. What kind of Kenya have career politicians delivered to our people in 63 years of independence? Today, 20 million Kenyans, representing about 40 percent of the population, still live below poverty line. If nothing changes, the poverty affecting these 20 million Kenyans today will reproduce itself across households and generations for decades to come.
I am thus seeking the mandate of Kenyans to change this scenario by embarking on the arduous task of Kenya’s Third Liberation: an economic revolution to deliver Prosperity For All Kenyans – Ustawi Kwa Wote.
Under the stewardship of People’s Prosperity Party (PPP), I will offer focused and transformative leadership that is people-centered and which is in conformity with good governance and the rule of law.
I am averse to the challenges facing the common Kenyan people (Wananchi), and I do believe we have got an historic moment in the 2027 General Election to change the paradigm by embracing transformational leadership that can effectively address the real challenges facing our people. And I trust I am equal to the task – based on existential experience, skills, competencies and capabilities – to be the President of the Republic of Kenya.
Kenya today is among the most unequal societies in the world. Studies conducted recently reveal shocking truth: that the richest 125 Kenyans currently hold more wealth than nearly 43 million people combined.
But one thing is certain! Kenyans are restless and will no longer accept business-as-usual politics that has impoverished the nation and make Kenya an oasis of wealth in a sea of poverty – where millions remain trapped in poverty, poor health, joblessness, debt and indignity.
