9. CREATING SHARED PROSPERITY FOR ALL KENYANS

This commitment will re-engineer Kenya’s economic model to ensure that Kenyan workers, farmers, fishermen, miners, creatives, MSMEs, cooperatives, and communities receive proportionate benefits from their contribution, effort, risk, and input by building a meritorious system across productive value chains and the entire economy.
This will reduce the gap between the rich and poor by promoting value addition, ownership, affordable capital, market access, and fair retention of wealth by producers. We verily believe that the impoverished upstream players in our value chains are among the greatest contributors to Kenya’s wealth and a meritorious system will therefore significantly reduce the gap between the rich and the poor thereby creating shared prosperity.
