4. FREE PRIMARY & DAY SECONDARY EDUCATION
This commitment guarantees universal access to quality basic education by removing all hidden school costs and strengthening public learning systems. It includes restoration of high-quality public education for all with minimum guaranteed and enforceable standards for infrastructure, sanitation, safety, and learning materials, upgrade infrastructure, reform teacher welfare, and support vulnerable households with targeted education subsidies.
It also includes recruitment of additional teachers, nationwide digital learning integration, and a school feeding programme to improve attendance and nutrition. The agenda also aligns education with skills development, ensuring learners are prepared for employment, innovation, and the modern economy. We will also seek to develop local economies by ensuring supply to the school feeding program using local agricultural value chains.
